Scientific Directions:
• Technology for obtaining bulk
crystals, polished substrates, and p-n structures of
semiconducting materials ;
• Semiconducting Materials Science.
Laboratory of Semiconducting Materials Science conducts works on
obtaining by Czochralski method mono- and polycrystalline Si, Ge
and SiGe alloys doped with donor and acceptor impurities, preparing
high quality polished substrates and creating p-n structures based
on them by different technologies and diagnostics of their
electrophysical properties.
Research works on crystallographic orientations and structural defects characteristics in semiconducting substrates and profile samples by X-ray diffraction and optical metallographic methods.
Formation of p-n structures and ohmic contacts on SiGe substrates by boron and phosphorus high-temperature diffusion and diagnostics of their electrophysical and optical characteristics, for creation of photovoltaics and near-infrared range photodetectors.
